Frequently asked questions

  1. How do I book?

Simple! Either drop me an email or give me a call to check I am available – we can have a chat, and then arrange an invoice to be sent out.

  2. Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, it’s £100 non-refundable to secure the date.

  3. When is full payment required?

2 weeks before your wedding date.

  4. Do we need to visit the venue?
It’s not essential but I am happy to do so if I haven’t already worked at that venue. If I’ve worked there before there’s really no need from my end. I’m very used to adapting to various kinds of weather and venues, so will always scope it out on the day and make a plan.
  5. Should I tell my church/ civil ceremony that I have a professional photographer or videographer?

Yes, always tell them. A photographer is expected but not so much with a videographer. A church may ask you to pay a small extra fee and obtain a music license, if so let me know and I can organise this (link and info below). https://www.prsformusic.com/licences/releasing-music-products/limited-manufacture

  6. What is a music license, do I need to get it or do you?

‘The Limited Manufacture (LM) licence is quick, affordable and grants you ‘blanket’ permission to legally use any music in your own CDs, DVDs or videos (and other formats) – that’s any music, from any genre, by any artist including the names, from Elvis, The Beatles to Adele and Ed Sheeran.’
I am happy to organise this. https://www.prsformusic.com/licences/releasing-music-products/limited-manufacture

  7. Can I ask for specific group photos?

Yes, of course, just send me a list a few days before.

  8. What if I just want mostly natural photos?

Candid/ reportage/ natural (all the same thing!) photos are my most favourite to take. If you’d just like natural photos throughout the day then I am happy with that! It’s your day so I don’t want you to feel like you’ve had to fake smile for most of it!

  9. How long will my wedding video be?

The feature-length video is roughly around 60mins.

  10. How long will my wedding highlights video be?

A highlights video will be between 5 – 10mins max.

  11. How many songs should I choose for the feature-length video?
    8 songs, please.
  12. How many songs should I choose for the highlights video?
    2 songs, please.
  13. How many photos will I receive?

Every wedding is different, however on average the minimum number of photos you will receive will be 500.

  14. Will I get a refund if my wedding is cancelled for any reason?

The deposit is non-refundable, however, if you paid early then your full amount is refundable up to 2 weeks prior, after that it’s non-refundable as this wouldn’t allow me enough time to rebook a wedding.

  15. How will I receive my wedding photos/ video?

Photography – initially an online gallery that stays online for 6 months with full-sized images for you and your loved ones to download for free. Then I’ll put all photos on a personally inscribed USB stick.Videography – I’ll initially send you a link and then once you’ve approved it I will send out your wedding on a personally inscribed USB. PLEASE NOTE: it’s incredibly important that you back up your USB stick content as they are easily corrupted and do not have a lifetime guarantee.
